![]() December 28, 2001 Announcing the Launch of our New Television Series Charlottetown – (December 28, 2001) – Travel behind the scenes into a world of culinary adventure with Chef Michael Smith on the new thirteen (13) episode Series Chef at Large. Cellar Door Productions (PEI) and Ocean Entertainment (NS) are pleased to announce the launch of their newest series Chef at Large with Chef Michael Smith, premiering Tuesday January 8th on Food Network Canada. Chef at Large is an intriguing documentation of a world of cuisine you never knew existed. Building on the popularity of The Inn Chef, join Chef Michael on a culinary quest as he meets other fascinating Chefs, investigates their amazing kitchens and explores their unique and challenging worlds. From a dude ranch in British Columbia, to boarding one of the largest cruise ships in the world, to a look behind the courts with the NBA’s Toronto Raptors, Chef Michael is on an adventure of a lifetime, as he travels across Canada and around the world in search of fascinating people and places even he only dared to dream about. “I can’t believe I get to do this for a job!” says Chef Smith. “I’m honoured to be able to tell the stories of the hard working heroes of the food business. There are tons of great chef’s out there doing amazing things in extraordinary places, this is their show!” “We are the premiere series for the Food Network for 2002” states Gretha Rose, Cellar Door’s President. “Even though it is a documentary series, Chef at Large is about food, adventure and fun, which is who Chef Michael is as a person.
