Doodlez Nominated in Major US Festival
Charlottetown, PE (August 19, 2004) – Cellar Door Productions is pleased to announce that its highly successful animated series DOODLEZ has been nominated at the CINEME International Animation Festival to be held in Chicago September 24 – 26, 2004.

CINEME International Animation Festival is the largest 100% animation and digital media festival in the United States, with over 2400 submissions received from every continent around the world.

“Doodlez continues to be ‘the little engine that could’. We are always proud of the fact that Doodlez was 100% created and produced on PEI. It continues to sell internationally and has become a cult hit to young and old alike”, states Gretha Rose, Cellar Door’s President and Executive Producer. “We are currently in development of a ˝ hour series and expect a strong future for the property.” Doodlez is shown as 2-minute interstitials on TeleTOON and other networks such as Cartoon Network Japan and Latin America, The Comedy Channel in Australia, and SVT in Sweden. Doodlez was awarded the 2003 Gemini for Best Animated Program or Series, and in 2002, Doodlez was presented the award for Best Canadian Entry given by the International New Media Festival (now Next Media), as well as 2nd Runner up in the Entertainment category.

Doodlez is produced by Cellar Door Productions, and animated by Trapeze Animation Studio Ltd. Produced in association with TeleTOON, with the participation and support of Canadian Television Fund (License Fee Program), Technology PEI, Shaw Children’s Broadcasting Initiative, and the Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund.
