Doodlez Nominated for Gemini Award
Charlottetown, PE (September 10, 2003) – Cellar Door Productions is pleased to announce that its highly successful animated short DOODLEZ has been nominated for a Gemini for Best Animated Program or Series.

“Doodlez has become a cult hit to young and old alike” stated Gretha Rose, Cellar Door’s President and the programs Executive Producer. “We are currently in production on an additional 39 interstitials and are in development of a ˝ hour series.” Nominated was 11 – 2-minute shorts that made up a ˝ hour special. Doodlez is also shown as 2-minute interstitials on TeleTOON and other networks such as Cartoon Network Japan and Latin America, and The Comedy Channel in Australia. In October of 2002, Doodlez was presented the award for “Best Canadian Entry” given by the International New Media Festival (now Next Media), as well as 2nd Runner up in the Entertainment category. Cellar Door is currently in production of an additional 39 episodes.

Doodlez is produced by Cellar Door Productions, and animated by Trapeze Animation Studio Ltd. Produced in association with TeleTOON, with the participation and support of Canadian Television Fund (License Fee Program), Technology PEI, Shaw Children’s Broadcasting Initiative, and the Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund.

Doodlez also has an online property, www.doodlez.tv that will be going live later this month.
