Charlottetown – (March 8, 2002) – Cellar Door Productions is pleased to announce that its highly successful animated series ECKHART has earned the French category Award for “Best Animated Show for Children aged 6 to 8” given by the The Alliance for Children and Television. The awards ceremony was held February 28t h in Montreal.

Executive Producer Kevin Gillis and Producer Dave Beatty were on hand to accept the award on behalf of Cellar Door Productions (Charlottetown), Catalyst Entertainment (Toronto) and Animation Services (Hong Kong), who collectively produce the Eckhart series.

“It is gratifying to see the work of our teams in PEI, Ontario and Asia share in this honour”, stated Gretha Rose, Cellar Door’s President and the programs Executive Producer. “ We would like to thank all those who have been dedicated to making ECKHART so unique and special. It is a series that we can all be proud to be a part of”.

The award comes at an ideal time for Cellar Door. The company is preparing for the premiere of the Third Season of ‘ECKHART’, which is scheduled to air this Saturday, March 9th at 12:30pm EST and again on Sunday March 10th at 12:30pm EST on TeleTOON. “ Eckhart has entertained and captured the imagination of children around the world since it first appeared on television”, stated Gretha Rose. “ We are very excited about the premiere of the third season”.
